Career Pacheco’s first steps in television took place in the late 1990s in the sketch comedy program Ni en Vivo Ni en Directo, where she participated alongside Fernando Villarroel, Sofía Caiche, Vicente Romero, José Northia, and Álex Plúas. With them, she also took part in TC Televisión productions such as Mi Recinto and Joselito, and she currently appears in the Ecuavisa telenovela Sharon la Hechicera. María Mercedes also worked as a host of the entertainment news program Vamos Con Todo on RTS. Personal life Passionate about acting, this is what allowed her to reach the big screen. Pacheco has stated that she is not fond of having her love life exposed in the entertainment media; however, she agreed to discuss her relationship status on the RTS program, where in June 2019 she confirmed that she was single. One of the most controversial moments in her career was when she resigned from her role on the program Vamos Con Todo on RTS. According to Pacheco, the reasons for this decision were that after a year and a half working on the channel, the company was not able to meet her requests.
